Once applied, water your lawn, but do not create puddling or run off. For heavy clay soils, applications can be repeated on an as-needed basis. Apply 32 ounces per 12,000 sq. ft. depending on the condition of your soil.
Then apply every 45-60 days for best results. Since this is 100% organic, over application will not damage grass or plants. You can go back to your normal watering schedule 24 hours after application.

Frequently Asked Questions
A -If using a hose end sprayer you can water 24 hours after application, you don't want to water prior to the 24 hours, because you want the ground to absorb the nutrients. Also why the ground doesn't need to be saturated and not forecasted to rain for at least 24 hours. If you are using a pump sprayer then water after application but do not create puddling or run off.
A -Apply the Grass Seed working it in evenly. Then apply Liquid Aerator to saturate the surface. After an hour, water enough to saturate the Aerator without puddling the area.
A -Yes! Liquid Aerator is great for the lawn, the garden, and for flower beds. Flowers and vegetables LOVE GOOD RICH SOIL and the leaves LOVE SWEETNER just like humans, thus the Liquid Lawn Aerator is fantastic for foliage as well. On new plants once they are up about 3-4 inches, I spray them with the Aerator, and on established plants, I saturate the leaves really well. Our Liquid Lawn Aerator is a powerful biological that alleviates the effects of compaction, increases nutrient uptake and promotes healthier plant growth.
This liquid product contains carbohydrates to fuel the microbes, as well as provide an extra energy boost to the plants. Apply every 30-45 days during growing season for best results, and before freeze sets in for winter treatment, and after last freeze to kick off the spring.
I even saturate the area around the base of my trees to help the water penetrate the soil and feed the roots as well. My smaller trees get a dose on their leaves to absorb the nutrients.
A -A single quart (32oz) should cover approximately 12,000 square feet. Since this is 100% organic, over application will not damage grass or plants. Applying more Liquid Aerator will increase nutrients made available to the soil, if the soil does not need those nutrients it simply will not absorb them. Read more about application here:Click Here
A -Most hose end sprayers are set to the proper setting. If it's a dial setting, I would use #4 or #6 after mixing correctly. Read More Here
A -No, Covington Liquid Lawn Aerator can be applied year round as needed.
A -The ground should not be more than 40% saturated with water before applying the aerator. After you apply the aerator, you should water it in until the ground is at 82% liquidity. This will allow absorption into the molecular structure of the soil enabling it to reproduce the biologicals in the soil aerator.
All soils are different, obviously a sandy loam soil will take more water than red or black clay, thus if you are in question, dig down 4" to test the soil moisture. Pick up some of the soil you dug up, put in the palm of your hand and feel how dry it is... if it is quite dry, you can apply the aerator, then water it about an hour later. Don't over saturate, it will dilute the aerator or fertilizer. How to tell when you are over watering? When surface water begins to show or puddle on the surface, or create run off.
A -When mixed with herbicides, insecticides or fertilizers, a surfactant helps the chemicals stick to and penetrate the grass much better. However, it is important to use detergent and not liquid soap. Detergent is a better surfactant as it breaks down easily, does not build up and supplies phosphates, which plants need. Soaps and detergents are toxic to plants. A strong solution of soapy water sprayed onto foliage can disintegrate the leaves' waxy coating, resulting in water loss and the eventual dehydration death of the plant.
Soap will remain in the soil, making it toxic and eventually deadly. Hard-shelled and larger insects, such as beetle larvae and caterpillars, often are immune to its effects. Soap kills by disrupting insects' cell membranes and it also may remove their protective waxy coating, which causes their bodies to dehydrate. Insects are actually good for the soil to continue to break it up, fertilize it, and eventually their decayed bodies fuel the soil.
Our Liquid Aerator has molasses in it which helps it to adhere and serve as a surfactant, thus soap is in our opinion just a bad idea!
